One of the most amazing parts of photography is noticing your artwork change with to your life experiences. I value family photos infinitely more — both because of the experience of losing my mom, and then becoming a mother myself… images of all these details and points in time can never be recreated or replaced. It’s so special to bring this perspective with me whatever I’m shooting. What is worth photographing? What do we want to remember? What do we want to show our kids when they’re older? These questions have significantly altered my work — and it’s such an honor to be invited into your homes to document this deep love within families, the fleeting preciousness of childhood. I’ll never get tired of it ❤️
